Stop Losing Pokémon Drops to Scalpers in 2026

Pokémon scalpers keep winning Target drops in 2026 because they find out first, not because they checkout faster. Watch the listing. Stop refreshing. Stop paying the markup.

If you have lost a Pokémon drop at Target this year, you have probably blamed scalpers.

Bots. Discords. People who "always get it."

Sometimes that is true. A lot of the time it is simpler and more annoying: they found out the Target page flipped, and you found out from a screenshot.

Target does not run a queue for Pokémon. There is no waiting room. The listing is buyable, then it is not. If you show up twenty minutes late, you are not at the back of a line. You are looking at a sold-out page.

You do not need to be faster than a scalper at typing a CVV. You need to stop being last to know.

ReStock only watches Target. This is not a multi-store war plan. It is how to stop losing the Target listing you already wanted.

The longer retail-price version of this lives in How to Buy Pokémon Cards at MSRP.

Why scalpers keep getting there first

A Target Pokémon restock is usually over before it is a conversation.

Someone is already on the product. Someone already has Target signed in. Someone already decided which ETB they would buy at what price.

You were going to "check later."

That gap is the whole game. Not secret inventory. Not a hidden Target URL. Time.

Scalpers look organized because they removed the human part: remembering to refresh, guessing the hour, finding out on Reddit after it sold through.

You can remove that part without becoming them.

Target does not give you a second chance

This is the part most "beat the scalpers" posts skip.

Pokémon Center can put you in a queue. Target does not. When a Target listing goes live, it is first come, first served until the units are gone. Popular boxes are often measured in minutes.

So a guide that says "just be fast at checkout" is incomplete. Fast only matters if you are already there.

If you learn about a 3 a.m. listing at 8 a.m., the drop is not happening. It happened.

You are not going to stay up every night

Collectors keep repeating the same overnight window: new Target Pokémon listings often show up in the small hours, Eastern time. Restocks of a page that already exists can happen during the day.

Treat that as a reason to have a monitor on. Do not treat it as a lifestyle.

The people who look like they "never miss Target" are not morally superior. They are not refreshing for six hours. They get told.

How to stop losing the Target drop

1. Pick the product before the restock

Scalpers do not browse during the drop. They already know the TCIN.

Open the exact Target page for the ETB, booster bundle, or collection you want. Not a Pokémon search. Not "all cards."

If you decide what you want after the alert, you already lost time.

2. Check the price like an adult

Target is not always MSRP. Some Pokémon listings sit above the printed box price.

If the only reason you would buy it is that it finally appeared, you are doing the scalper's job for them, just at a different number.

3. Get your Target account out of the way

Sign in. Save the address. Save payment. Pick pickup or shipping now.

A notification that leads to a password reset is a donation to whoever was already logged in.

4. Watch the page instead of your memory

Copy the Target URL or TCIN.

Open the ReStock Pro web app and add that product.

Keep the window open, or use the Chrome extension from getrestock.app so it can keep watching in the background.

ReStock does not buy the box. It does not skip checkout. It does not reserve anything. It tells you the Target listing changed, which is the part scalpers were getting and you were not.

5. When it pings, open Target and decide

Confirm the product. Confirm Target is the seller. Confirm the price. Check out, or don't.

Beating a scalper is optional. Not paying one is the actual win.

What this is not

This is not a bot guide.

ReStock will not add to cart for you, check you out, or pretend there is a fair fight against someone running software you should not run.

If a post promises you will "beat scalpers every time," it is selling a fantasy, or it is selling a tool that buys for you. We do not do that.

The honest version: you cannot control Target stock. You can control how late you find out.

Keep the ReStock web app open

The web app only watches while it is open.

You do not need the Target tab open. You need ReStock open.

Overnight listings are why the Chrome extension exists. Nobody should have to baby-sit a refresh for a Friday 3 a.m. ETB.

How do you beat Pokémon scalpers in 2026?

You don't, not as a sport.

You buy the Target product you already wanted, at a price you already accepted, because you were watching the listing instead of the timeline.

That is the whole trick. It is not clever. It is earlier.

Can you still buy Pokémon cards at MSRP in 2026?

Sometimes. Target still lists them. They still sell out.

MSRP is not a personality. It is a number on a page. Read it every time.

Do scalpers use bots at Target?

Some people do. Some people just use alerts and a logged-in account.

You do not need to solve the bot problem to stop paying $20 extra because you saw the restock on social an hour late.

Is there an app that beats Pokémon scalpers?

No app can promise that.

ReStock Pro can watch a Target Pokémon page and notify you when it comes back. Same speed for every monitor. No paid line. No "Ultra goes first."

It only tracks Target.

What should you do tonight?

Open the one Target Pokémon page you actually want.

If it is in stock, buy it or don't. If it is sold out, watch it in ReStock before you lock the laptop.

Scalpers are not faster than you. They just stopped waiting to get lucky.
